As a young child when Sonya’s mother asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up Sonya replied that she wanted to be a mother with 200 children. Little did Sonya know then that the 200 (plus) children would be the many amazing clients she has been blessed to work with over her 16+ years as a child and family psychotherapist. Sonya has always been a strong advocate for the well being of children from all walks of life and has continued to dedicate her career to helping children find a voice within their family systems as well society as a whole.

Later in her career Sonya decided to start working with couples because as a wife and mother, she started to see that the confidence of the child was strongly dependent upon the strength of the union within which they are raised. Sonya’s work with couples is focused on helping couples rebuild the friendship and love that started them on the journey to becoming a couple.
